Archaeologist Dr. Geoffrey E. Braswell has worked at numerous
sites in Mesoamerica including Teotihuacan, in Central Mexico,
and the ancient Maya cities of Chichen Itza, Copan, Kaminaljuyu,
Yaxha, Topoxte, and Dzibilchaltun.
He has taught archaeology at the Universidad del Valle de
Guatemala, the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan, Tulane University,
and the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a specialist
in ancient economies and stone-tool analysis, and he speaks
Kaqchikel, a highland Maya language.
