Caves are the sacred entrance to the underworld
in the Maya way of life. Guatemala's topography of Karsts
and limestone makes for a multitude of different types of
caves. We visit dry caves, caves you travel by water and caves
where one needs to rappel to enter. Some of the caves still
have artifacts or drawings which the Maya left over 1200 years
ago.
