DAY 02:     EL ESTOR / OXEC / RIO cahabon
Early breakfast and transfer to the put-in site on the Rio Cahabon, near where the Rio Oxec, a tributary, joins the Cahabon. After a safety orientation, board rafts and begin the descent of the river. This day is filled with exciting rapids, placid pools perfect for swimming, inviting pristine tributary creeks, and colorful bird life set amongst the beautiful scenery of this very remote and seldom seen region. Delicious campfire cuisine and camping just upstream of the spectacular cataract of Chulac.

DAY 03:     RIO cahabon / cahabonCITO / EL ESTOR
While preparing breakfast and breakdown campsite, transport rafts and equipment around the unrunnable class VI rapid known as Chulac Falls. After a short walk around the falls, board rafts at the base of the last drops. Continue down through the Lower Gorge, where the river enters a rugged canyon of unspoiled natural beauty, sprinkled with a liberal dose of exhilarating rapids, tranquil pools and natural hot springs, we've dubbed "The Little Paraiso".  By mid-afternoon reach the take-out point at the small village of Cahaboncito. Switching from the rafts to an awaiting vehicle, transfer overland a short distance to El Estor. Dinner and hotel lodging in El Estor.

DAY 04:     EL ESTOR / FINCA PARAISO / RIO DULCE / GUATEMALA
Breakfast and board vehicle for a short visit to Finca El Paraiso (Paradise), where you can take a swim in either cold, lukewarm or hot waters in pools that form as the fresh stream that flows from the cave meet a thermal spring.  Continue to Rio Dulce, where you may practice "Bungee jumping" from the bridge or make a short visit to the "Castillo San Felipe" (a spanish fort built to guard the zone from pirate attacks).
